We are packed and ready go and tomorrow the boys and I are going on a road trip to Norfolk.
If you don’t know much about this county, here is a little bit of info. Norfolk has miles of beautiful, unspoilt coastline, internationally important nature reserves and amazing wildlife, hundreds of pretty, picturesque villages, historic market towns, fantastic seaside resorts, it is home to the incredible ‘Broads’ – Britain’s magical waterland, and Norwich is a fantastic heritage, entertainment and shopping (yes SHOPPING) city.
We are going on this trip to see my dad, ‘Granddad-Beard’, but he does live about as far north in Norfolk as possible, so we have a long drive ahead of us but it is all worth it as the boys are very, very excited. To break up what can be a bit of a tedious, straight, long journey, we are going to stop and look at a few old planes on the way at IMW Duxford (http://www.iwm.org.uk/visits/iwm-duxford) and have lunch there too.
I am hoping that the bickering will be kept to a minimum, that they will run around and wear themselves out at the museum and sleep on the rest of the journey rather than throw things at each other and complain – well I can hope, can’t I?
Once we arrive we have quite a list of things to do over the next 5 days; crabbing in Cromer, a trip on the steam train along the coast, lunch in Holt, a trip to the penny arcades, a day at Dinosaur Land, some shopping time for mummy in Norwich as well as a cream team, buckets and spades, fish and chips on the pier and seal spotting. Yes, all of this before the end of the week!
I’m determined to reach 10,000 views of my blog before the end of August and keep building my followers (thank you to all of you who already follow and read) so I will not be leaving my posts behind. As well as lego, dominoes and DVDs being packed, I have my netbook and as a
nd when, e.g. internet connection permitting in the back of beyond, I will bring you tales of sun, fun and great f
amily adventures across three generations.
We also hope Oliver and Genie manage to keep out of trouble and not make too much mess whilst we are gone and of course miss us LOTS!

Hope you have a nice trip

Love Norfolk – can’t wait to hear your updates – especially Dinosaur World! We’re doing Cornwall this summer (your itinerary sounds as packed as ours) but perhaps Norfolk next year. Burnham Market must be on your list – Humble Pie is a fab deli – yummy!
